Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Account details: name, email, hashed PIN or password, and optional mobile number.
• Grant applications: organization information, contacts, project narratives, budgets, and related documents you submit.
• Staff and board work: votes, award notes, and internal finance records needed to run the Trust.
• Technical data: session cookies, IP address, and basic server logs.
• SMS data: your mobile number and the time you opted in or opted out of text messages.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• Create and secure accounts, including magic sign-in links.
• Receive, review, and decide community grant applications.
• Communicate about application status, deadlines, and Trust operations.
• Keep financial and donor records for the organization.
• Send SMS alerts you have opted into, as described below.

We do not sell personal information.

Text messages (SMS)

If you provide a mobile number and separately opt in (on our optional text alerts page or in Profile), we may send transactional texts about your WEPIFT account and grant cycle (for example, a sign-in link, a deadline reminder, or a notice that an application update is available). You may receive up to 8 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.

SMS consent is optional. It is not required to create an account, submit a grant application, complete any transaction on this site, or receive a grant. We do not place a required consent checkbox on the application or registration forms.

We do not share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We use Twilio, Inc. as a service provider to deliver texts. Twilio processes numbers and message content only to send messages on our behalf. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. For more program terms, see our Terms of Use.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate the Trust, including:

• Board and staff who review applications and finances.
• Service providers that host the website or send email/SMS (such as Render and Twilio).
• When required by law, or to protect the Trust and the people we serve.

Service providers are not permitted to use your mobile number for their own marketing.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

Retention

Grant applications and related records are kept as needed for review, awards, and nonprofit recordkeeping. Account and SMS opt-in records are kept while the account is active and as required for legal or audit purposes. You may ask us to close an account or stop texts at any time.

Your choices

• Update your name, email, or mobile number in your profile or by contacting us.
• Leave texts off. You can still apply and sign in with email and a PIN.
• Reply STOP to SMS to opt out of further texts.
• Request access or correction of your application data by emailing us.

Children

This site is for adult organization contacts and Trust staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Using the website after an update means you accept the revised website policy. SMS terms apply only if you opt in to texts.
